President Jeff Beard, CCIM, has announced the recent addition of Melissa Showers to the company’s commercial real estate marketing team as Marketing and Graphic Design Specialist. In her role, she will utilize her graphic design specialties to provide custom marketing packages, website design and branding expertise, as well as fresh insight for industry standards. Showers joins the team with more than seven years of commercial real estate marketing experience and over 17 years as a graphic designer. She most recently served six years as Marketing Director for McAlister Real Estate and Rockspring Capital. Showers also has provided branding for many local small businesses. She is a graduate of The Art Institute of Houston. “We are very excited to welcome Melissa to our team,” said Beard. “Her professional marketing experience along with her graphic design expertise and talent are a tremendous asset to our clients’ commercial real estate endeavors.”

(December 12, 2017) Neal King and Jeff Beard of The J. Beard Real Estate Company represented the seller, SKLK, LLC, in the disposition of 209.5 acres along US HWY 290 in Hempstead, Texas. The property is currently operated as the Legendary Oaks Golf Course and Recreation Center, an 18-hole, semi-private golf facility with pro-shop, clubhouse, historical wedding chapel, swimming pool, tennis courts, and stocked fishing pond, located at 43279 Urban Road. The buyer, CGE International, LLC, was represented by James Luo with Sunet Group, LLC.

The Woodlands, Texas (October 25, 2017) Jeff Tinsley of The J. Beard Real Estate Company has represented the seller, Montgomery Trace Shopping Center DST, in the recent disposition of Montgomery Trace retail center located at 20821 Eva Street, Montgomery, Texas. Montgomery Trace Shopping Center is a 94,893 square-foot, one-story retail center located on approximately 14 acres of land on SH 105 (Eva Street) and FM 149 in Montgomery, Texas, a suburban community of the Houston metroplex. The building is currently 92% leased to 15 tenants, including a 31,760 square-foot Brookshire Bros. grocery anchor tenant, according to Tinsley.

The Woodlands, Texas (October 25, 2017) Zach Armstrong of The J. Beard Real Estate Company has announced the pre-leasing of the new Harmony Commons Shopping Center currently under construction at the southwest corner of Grand Parkway 99 and Discovery Creek Boulevard in Spring, Texas. Developed by The J. Beard Real Estate Company, the center will be a two-building 19,200-square-foot, one-story retail shopping center including 18.6 acres of pad sites with frontage on Grand Parkway 99 and Discovery Creek Boulevard. It is adjacent to HEB Grocery Development and in close proximity to significant commercial growth in Springwoods Village, The Woodlands and the ExxonMobil Campus. Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2018 and the center is approximately 55 percent leased, according to Armstrong.

In her role as a commercial property manager for The J. Beard Property Management Company, Tebbe manages a diverse portfolio of office and retail throughout The Woodlands and surrounding areas. She joins the firm with several years of property management experience among large commercial property real estate companies. Tebbe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Houston and she has a Texas real estate license.
