JEFF BEARD, CCIM

Beard, a CCIM since June, 2000, is a graduate of Texas A&M University, with a BBA degree in finance. He is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is also past President of the Commercial Real Estate Association of Montgomery County. He formerly served as Director of Retail Properties for The Woodlands Operating Company, L.P. His responsibilities with The Woodlands included development activities along with directing the leasing, asset management and partnership interests for an extensive retail portfolio. During a seven year tenure with The Woodlands, Beard negotiated over $50 million in lease transactions and $35 million in land sales. Jeff’s work experience prior to The Woodlands, included working as a MAI (Member of the Appraisal Institute) with National Property Valuation. He analyzed and evaluated a broad range of real estate properties throughout the country, including CBD and suburban office buildings, regional malls, shopping centers, hotels, multi-family projects and master-planned communities.

During recent months, Jeff was recognized for a number of transactions between $5 and $15 million each, including the sale of two retail centers, a medical office building, and several vacant land tracts. In the last few years, Jeff personally completed in excess of 100 lease/sale transactions totaling over $100 million in total value. Having worked for a variety of clients, including St. Luke’s Hospital, Woodforest National Bank, and Colonial Properties Trust, as well as a variety of other joint ventures and partnerships, Jeff is active daily in the management and transaction scope of the business.

A resident of The Woodlands since 1998, Jeff and his wife, Lisa, have three children, Steven, Shelby and Tyler.
