John A. Ernst - John brings a wide breadth of experience as a principal managing retail property portfolios. In his previous position, John was the Senior Real Estate Manager for Landry痴 Restaurants for 5 years. He was directly responsible for all real property transactions across the country for over 300 units, including numerous transactions exceeding $10 million dollars. His responsibilities included development activities and the acquisition and disposition of restaurant, entertainment and casino properties. Prior to joining Landry痴 Restaurants, John served as a portfolio manager with Service Corporation International and Pennzoil adding to his diverse retail property experience.

John is a 1994 graduate of Texas A&M University and holds a Master痴 Degree in Land Economics and Real Estate and an undergraduate degree in Political Science. John has held various leadership roles in local real estate organizations and has been a member of ICSC since 2002. John has held a license from the Texas Real Estate Commission since 1996.

John is a retired officer of the U.S. Army and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He, his wife, Colleen and baby live in Houston.
